I am an artist living in Newcastle.
I grew up in the North East of England. In 2018 I spent 3 months working in Mashiko, Japan. Both places have influenced me a great deal.
A large part of my practice is centered around collaboration and giving over part of the making process to the materials. In Japan I focused on wood firing unglazed ware, allowing the atmosphere of the kiln to have it’s say in the work. More recently I have been exploring assembling thrown pieces.
